Monday marks the 240th anniversary of when the thirteen original colonies declared their independence from Britain in 1776. In honor of Independence Day and for his many years of service to our country, we wanted to give spotlight to Tom Folse, our newest therapist on staff. He joined Life Resources earlier this year and has been an asset to our practice since day one.
Folse is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. He has been in private practice since 1998 after serving over 20 years in the United State Air Force as a fighter pilot. But his service didn't stop there, he also taught Aviation Science to high school students for 18 years.
With a Bachelors of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of South Carolina along with a Masters in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Folse decided to continue his education to become a counselor by attending the The Citadel. Since receiving a M.A. in Psychology/Clinical Counseling, he has found joy in helping others realize their full potential. His military background has proved beneficial to his career as a counselor by empowering his clients manage high stress jobs and difficult life situations.
Outside of the office, Folse is deeply rooted in his faith and enjoys hunting and reading. We are so blessed to find a counselor like Tom to bring a new perspective and new skills to our team. He is currently training to become certified in Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples counseling. He will soon be able to take on couples looking for relational healing in their marriage. Folse is currently taking new client for individual counseling and would love to help more and more clients on their journey of healing.
If you are interested in setting up an appointment with Tom, give our office a call at 843-884-8333. In the meantime, please join us in celebrating Tom's service as well as all military men and women who have fought for our country.
